Setting up synchronization between Nextcloud and PhotoPrism is a piece of cake.

Follow these easy steps to sync your data from your Nextcloud instance to PhotoPrism. This way, your photos are sent to your PhotoPrism server at a desired interval. This also achieves more data security, because your photos are not only stored on your Nextcloud, but also on your PhotoPrism drive. I highly recommend having your data on multiple drives to avoid data loss. This setup makes backups a breeze, while also achieving a great web interface to browse your library.

So, lets setup synchronization:

  1. Go To Settings/Sync and Add Server
  2. Configure server and login data
  3. Hit Sync
  • wait for PhotoPrism to fetch the folders, this may take some time
  1. Enable it
  2. Set the folder etc and desired sync interval
  3. You're done! It may take some time to start syncing. If you want faster results set the sync interval to 1 hour. Usually 1 day should be enough though It may take a day to really show your photos. Be patient.
